For brands, anticipate stricter brand safety defaults, limited targeting around sensitive topics, and occasional over-moderation of edgy creative.
So what should social teams do now? The bigger picture is resilience and proof. Implement brand safety controls and sensitive-category exclusions across paid and organic. Require creator partners to use content credentials where available and to clearly disclose synthetic elements. Build a rapid-response playbook for deepfake incidents: monitoring, takedown requests, and verified counter-messaging. Tighten whitelists/blacklists, refresh keyword and topic exclusions weekly, and add human review to AI-assisted workflows. Audit your community management for brigading scenarios and lock down ad adjacency settings during high-risk news cycles. What this means for creators and brands is that trust becomes a KPI: transparent provenance, fast escalation paths, and clear disclosures will separate credible voices from the noise.
